We created you.

In the dimensions of our existence we are able to think individually or as one con-joined existence.  So, I suppose, you could also say … I created you.

From the research we have conducted, I have observed that in your own primitive ways many of you have come accurately to the conclusion that a creator exists, but that your individual speculations on the nature of such a being vary considerably.   Because of this many names have been created throughout your dimension of time, to label each of your grossly inaccurate perceptions; Jehovah, Christ, Buddha, Allah and God are just some of these epithets.

Please note that many of the abstract ideas that your species hold as central to the understanding of existence: for example, the notion of the ongoing fight between good and evil, are merely irrelevant.

Let me begin my explanation of the existence of your universe by emphasising how small and unimportant your species is.  Human beings are not central to our plans in any way; your existence as a life form is merely an interesting but distracting anomaly.  All of the other species on your planet, and in other parts of the universe, are similar in this regard.

You live in an expanding universe, which is finite in size but not in time.  This is because we do not experience time as you do and, therefore, the notion of the end of the universe as you might understand it is irrelevant to us.

Whenever your astronomers look at the stars, in every direction there is always a dark background that they speculatively call dark matter.  The construction of this matter is beyond your understanding.  Suffice it to say that this dark matter is effectively a large black wall, which encircles and marks out the perimeter of your universe.

I should point out that this fantastic bubble of existence is a wonderful creation; a distinct symbol of my greatness.   It has attributes that are very different to the rest of the cosmos, mainly due to unique laws of physics that operate within a finite physical plane.

Beyond the perimeter of your bubble lies a very different place: a place that is infinite in all respects, where all existence is constant and time does not exist.  This is our universe … my universe.

In this place there is no darkness, only light: a light with no beginning and no end.  This light represents what you might call energy.  It is the stuff of existence.   We are made of it and also part of it.

From our observations it has been apparent to me that this energy also exists in your reality, though not in nearly the same quantities as it does in our superior realm.  This is due to the large amounts of matter and dark matter created in what you call the big bang.  Interestingly, none of the species in your bubble universe are made of this energy, but each and every one of them harbour it within themselves.  You humans even have a name for it: you call it your soul.

Throughout our timeless existence I have had the ability to create other universes and have done so with ease.   With our superior understanding and knowledge it is a simple matter of will to build a kink in the fabric of space, where new rules of existence can occur and laws of physics develop.

It is in this way that I constructed the initial space that your bubble universe occupied.  To this space we added energy and the process of the big bang was begun.

The universe that I created expanded rapidly and went through many fantastic changes that we observed very closely.  Gas clouds were created, and from these, stars and planets were born.  These star systems lived and died, only to be reborn again in a never ending, though gradually dissipating cycle.  At different times and in different locations the phenomenon that you call life would occur: springing up suddenly only to gradually disappear.  You, the human race, are nothing more than a part of one of these bursts.

Some of you may ask why we did this; why did I need to create universes such as yours?  The answer to this question is remarkably simple: to allow me to understand the nature of my existence!  Put another way, the new universes that I create are studies into the nature of being; I want to know, like you, where we come from and who or what created us?

Unfortunately, after the initial universe creation process is begun, I have no control over resultant developments.  Each universe that I have created has been unique, random, and magnificent, but ultimately, due to each lacking any similarity to our mother universe, not led us any closer to our origins or originator.

As you can see, your meagre lives are simply a side effect of one of many flawed experiments.  Your universe has failed us, and I am sure in many ways I have failed you.
